Nepal has a rich tradition of folk, as well as classical dances. According to Hindu mythology, Shiva, who is the God of dance in his Nataraja form, used to do his famous Tandava dance here in the Himalayas. Different communities have their own dance forms which are performed during various festivals, fairs, and family occasions.
Nepali dances are very important for life, culture, and traditions. It is also a good source of entertainment as well as an effective refresher. The movement of feet and body in the rhythm of song or music in a pleasing way is dance. The complement of dance is song and music. Mainly we can classify Nepali dance into three kinds, ‘Mask Dance, Folk Dances and Charya Dances.’

Sushma Bhusal
I have been practising naturopathy since my childhood.

The term naturopathy is commonly know as the power of nature to balance the five elements in our body. It is basically very closed to nature or its procedures are natural which has no side effect but has a great power of healing. As it is based and belief in natural resources, it’s always focused to the root cause and work on it. Naturopathy is not only cure what we see but it is beyond our vision, which always try to balance five elements of our body.

Naturopathy is a complete therapy which includes yoga, pranayam, balance diet and other dimension of life which are directly connected with health. It is scientifically based therapy which always touch the deeper reality of human existence. All therapy are based on five elements ( soil, water, fire, either and air)

How to Build a Strengthen our Will Forces

Complete title of Activity : How to strengthen our 'Will Forces' and overcome procrastination and modern lifestyle challenges
Language of Activity : English
Type of Activity : Talk - Causerie
Audience age for this activity : Youth & Adults
Date of Activity : November, 2, November, 6
Duration of Activity : ~1h
Details : There’s a familiar saying “It’s not the million dollar idea that counts but the million dollar execution that wins.”
Even a mediocre idea or a business can do very well, simply because they can execute well and has a stronger will to do things. At times many people and organisations with the most brilliant ideas get left behind as they don’t follow through due to lack of strong will.

Couple of generations or even decades ago, if people thought of doing something, they did it - then –not later, not tomorrow or next week or something, whether to go to the market, change a light bulb, keep an appointment or commitment, courage to express their thoughts and feelings, to keep your word to others and more importantly to yourselves, to be able to say NO to some work or someone, to do the repairs around the house, to start-something and complete what we started, being punctual if not early and so on. These are usually the same qualities which are there in people who inspire us.

So what’s changed? Can we turn back the clock and is there a way to cultivate these qualities consciously and overcome our challenges on inertia.

Human play as a tool for adult development

Complete title of Activity : Evolve our yself-guidance in the most enjoyable way
Language of Activity : English
Type of Activity : Classe - Cours, Seminar, Workshop - Atelier, Game - Jeu
Audience age for this activity : Adults
Date of Activity : October, 31
Duration of Activity : ~1h30
Details : This webinar is about:

How we can use PLAY
- to strengthen our human connection within and with others through the use of play
- to play with boundaries and limits on an individual, group and life level. How to deal with them not in a static, but life-developing way
- to get into the most effective human state of flow
- to use Play as a tool to achieve (any) goal
- to develop finite Play into infinite Play in order to improve our quality of life

And even how we can live a highly responsible life while playing.

This webinar is mainly for adults, even if children and teenagers can use the same playways for their own development. There are two reasons for this:

1. Children are naturally often in a state of play and flow. It is we adults who have mostly lost this state and have to recapture it in order to (re)connect deeply with ourselves and with others.
1. I'm deeply convinced that our own development and self-guidance create the most development-stimulating environment for children and teenagers. It's not so much what we do, but how we are.

This webinar provides thoughts and knowledge around play and life and also some playful exercises to do.

Mentorship in Democratic Education

Complete title of Activity : The value of mentorship in democratic education, let's share and learn.
Language of Activity : English
Type of Activity : Discussion
Audience age for this activity : Tous âges - All ages
Date of Activity : November, 1
Duration of Activity : ~2h
Details : "We think we listen, but very rarely do we listen with real understanding, true empathy. Yet listening, of this very special kind, is one of the most potent forces for change that I know." —Carl Rogers

The role of the adult in Democratic Education is often discussed and naturally there are varying ideas about it. In INFINITA we support children as the protagonists of their learning journey. We aim to support them to know themselves and each other and to make conscious decisions about how they live their lives and spend their time in school.

As a democratic school….we are a community of learners and leaders. We support young people to honour the impulses of their bodies, hearts and minds. We learn with and from each other. We feed community learning with ongoing inquiry and study as well as self-reflection and celebration. This includes ongoing inquiry about supporting learners (and the team) to know themselves and in the development of making conscious choices that are meaningful to them.

Now in our eighth year, we recognize mentorship as an important gesture that, like natural learning, is something we can and want to continuously learn from and develop.

You’re invited!

We would like to share our approach and observations of mentorship and are eager to learn about how mentorship is seen and lived in other Democratic Schools on the planet. Let’s discuss and share insights together with a look to developing skills and approaches to how we support children's agency and freedom in community.

But they think they were isolated by the grown-ups, school teachers and government officers, because they are treated just as onlookers of climate events or young students who should study more with a teacher only in a classroom. It's useless approaching to them because the future is up to them. So, some youths in my school had many meetings again and again on that issue and they decided that they should do something for climate action which they wanted to take part in creative and active way. At last they decided to come together the three climate action projects in the school. These are utilization of solar-energy, participation in 'meat-free-monday movement' and planting trees for bee-raising. And they named their team '지지청' which means 'Earth Keeping Youth'.
